Job Summary
Provide specialty medical services focusing on natural fertility care.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
1.Takes complex medical histories and record the patient’s medical, obstetrical, family, socio-economic, and dietary history in order to monitor the progress of patient’s health and fertility status.
2.Performs physical examinations.
3.Orders laboratory tests, x-rays, special imaging studies and other diagnostic procedures.
4.Performs ultra sound examinations and interprets ultrasound findings (training will be provided).
5.Monitors and evaluates patient-reported fertility markers.
6.Develops, implements, and evaluates broad program goals, objectives, and standards for achieving fertility and pregnancy through natural treatments.
7.Assists in the collection of data for research projects.
8.Orders consolations and interacts with members of other specialty teams.
9.Provides ongoing patient education.
10.Counsels patients, families and significant others about health and fertility, and promotes health maintenance.
11.Participates in continuing medical education to include specialty and sub-specialty meetings, clubs, boards, and conferences.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure to practice as a Certified Nurse Midwife in the State of Utah; and nationally certified as a Nurse Midwife as required by state law is required. Licensure is obtained by completing a Master’s Degree in Nursing and a National Certification which required the successful completion of a nationally accredited examination.
OR,
Current licensure to practice as a Physician’s Assistant from the State of Utah; to obtain licensure required graduation from anARC-PA approved/accredited Physician Assistant program.
OR,
Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of utah. Nationally certified as a Nurse Practitioner as required under State Law. Licensure is obtained by completing a Master’s degree in Nursing and a National Certification which requires the successful completion of a nationally accredited examination.
UHPPM1-56 requires that newly hired non-physician providers apply for credentialing and privileging at the time of hire.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
